A message from our Governors
We are pleased to welcome all parents and carers to Southsea Infant School. As a Governing Body we are immensely proud of our children and the school community, and we trust that your child will thrive in our learning environment. We have every reason to believe that their time at the school will be happy and rewarding.
As governors we endeavour to support Mrs Holmes and her staff as best we can by acting as ‘critical friends’ of the school. We are strongly committed to working in partnership with Mrs Holmes as effectively as possible in pursuit of the vision and agreed strategic direction for the continual improvement of our school. We take very seriously our responsibility as governors to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the school; and to hold the school to account for the standards achieved and for the quality of education provided.
You will find that that the school uses a range of ways to interact and communicate with parents/carers, and this is an area where the school will strive for further improvement. We believe that parents/carers are crucially important in the life of their child’s education, and you can certainly expect the school to facilitate your involvement in a whole variety of ways. Furthermore, as governors we are always keen to interact with parents through surveys, visits, and involvement in school events. We look forward to seeing and hearing from you.
